What is efun used for?

Efun is a white chalk made from snail shell and clay. It is used in various rituals in the Ifa Yoruba Religion which originated in West Africa.

It can be used to write religious symbols on surfaces such as concrete pavements. Ifa religious symbols are used in certain religious rituals. The main purpose of using snail shell powder in the rituals is to dispel negative energies.
